This is really a substantial, well-made watering can. I expect to get many years of use out of it. That said, it is also very heavy when full of water, so if you have problems lifting heavy items, this size may not be the one for you. I typically fill it 1/2-3/4 full...the water doesn't spill out the top opening, and that is usually enough water for the job I'm doing.

The double handles are extremely useful. I only wish it had a "stem" to place the brass rose when not in use.

I had been searching for a watering can, and after reading several reviews on different cans, this is the one I chose. It is perfect! I have a small flower bed outside my door that my grandsons planted flowers in for Mother's Day, when I wasn't home. I was pleasantly surprised, but had no way to water them; only with rain. After a couple hot days without rain, I came on Amazon in search of a can. I had it the very next day and have used it ever since. Even the small grandsons love it. It's light enough for them to carry, and they each get to use one full can, and everything is watered. The fact that the spout does a 180 and folds above the handle is also great for storage. I picked the 3.17 Qt. size and it was just right!! I love it.

Just as another reviewer has said, which helped me pick this model, it creates a nice gentle shower of water from the nozzle, just as watering cans "should".

I had similar issues that reviewer described with a plastic can we got at a discount store, and never did figure out why it simply would not send the water in nice streams out of its nozzle. But this one does. I have only one minor complaint. The can arrived with the nozzle head not screwed on, and when screwing it on we had a lot of difficulty. After greasing the threads with NAPA Sil-Glyde silicone grease ad applying a LOT of pressure downward onto the can's threads with the nozzle, while my wife held the can, it finally started and threaded on. I think the can's spout threads are just a bit to large in diameter to make it thread on easily. So I took one rating star away because of that. Other than that, it is a very nice watering can with a nice heavy galvanized coating, so should last us many years.
