nice can for decorative purposes which why i bought this one in the first place, if you want one for actual use i would suggest a galvanized tin one which will hold up better.

Very simply this product is not made of copper but is a copper plated zinc tin can. It works okay and at the end of the day it waters plants. However to claim it is made of copper is a fraud! The reason I found out is that the hard water here eroded off the copper coating on the inside of the can. I verified with a magnetic that the can is ferromagnetic and hence cannot be made of only copper or even a copper alloy. It looks like copper the way US pennies look like copper, but in fact are also a fraud - copper coated zinc alloy.
Just a copper plated tin can from China for . Given the dollar isn't worth much, maybe it is a good deal after all!

I purchased this attractive watering can for use as garden art and it is perfect for that use but is too light duty for use as an actual watering can. Obviously it will work but I doubt it will hold up well over time. The copper used is a very thin gauge and one can see in the picture the handles are not much more than strips of copper that flex and bend when the can is filled with water.
